Bridging the Gap Mentor Program is designed to assist those newly entering the workforce and those seeking career advancement. The program focuses on providing practical insights regarding the workplace, such as proper decorum, workplace etiquette and fostering positive colleague relationships.

The #WellSuited Initiative caught the attention of the program's Association Director who requested a #WellSuited workshop for program participants. In response to this request our team created a tailored workshop catered to the program's objectives and attendee demographics.

MENTAL AND PHYSICAL PREPARATION TO SUCCEED

The focus of the workshop for this program centered on understanding the proper mental and physical preparation required to not only seize a professional opportunity but to advance once placed in a job position.

Attendees actively participated in exercises regarding the power of positive thinking and attitudes along with proper and improper workplace decorum based on the type of position acquired. In addition, they were also engaged in discussion regarding fears that can become growth obstacles and practical steps to utilize so that fear does not stifle growth.

The session culminated in the attendees providing well thought out questions for the presenters. Many of these questions centered on understanding the challenges, fears and failures that the presenters have faced both in life and professionally with a focus on understanding how they overcame these successfully.
