Each year we will adopt efforts that attempt to DO GOOD in the world and support that work with a portion of our sales. We encourage our employees, vendors, consultants and others to be involved in the selection process and then our Advisory Board makes a final decision on the causes for the year. We feel it is imperative that our business, in addition to providing great products and services, also take an active role in helping with social issues in whatever way possible.
In the spirit of transparency, we will update our website each quarter with the progress made on donations towards the social causes and the amount raised and contributed. For 2012 we will post these results in December.
We include the donation as a part of your purchase with DPI at no additional charge to our customers. When a customer makes a full price retail purchase from our company, we will allow the customer to choose the cause they would like to benefit and then a specified amount from that purchase will be donated to that cause. At times we will also do promotions directly designed to fully benefit the causes we are supporting.
Unfortunately, we are currently only able to do this on retail price purchases unless otherwise stated by your Stylist Concierge, but if you are interested in making a donation after the purchase of a sale priced item, then we invite you to do so.
For 2012-13 we are proudly teaming with:
This program was started by one of our partners, Tim O. Productions, and is a program aimed at supporting improvements in school age literacy and education conditions primarily via the Arts. However, they also do whatever they can, which includes book drives, providing education supplies and supporting the program via their theatrical presentations. The program will contribute its first contributions in August 2012 for a school project they are working on in Southeast Asia and then again in the Fall/Winter for Wash. DC area in a selected Washington, D.C Public School. We are happy along with our customers to contribute to their efforts. For more information visit their website.
